Since the existence of man, nature has played an infinitely important role in life. A role far more important than the urbanization that has taken place. We have only been talking about villages or cities for about ten thousand years, but nature has always been present. In history we see that man has lived largely as both hunter and gatherer from nature. We cannot simply park that background and move on.
This is also why every human being is “biophilic. Nature has an irresistible attraction to humans. We feel connected to nature, attracted to the beginning of our origins.
Our needs are based on nature both for the material (just look at our resources), but also emotionally and intellectually we take heart in nature, which meets us within a lot of desires.
This is precisely why we get attached to cat or dog as pets or at home and at the office so much like to put a plant to brighten up the place and give a bouquet to a sick person? Whether this helps? Definitely! And not only at home:many studies have already shown that the presence of natural aspects in our offices even significantly reduces the risk of burnout and depression and, of course, our air quality is much better. We feel better thanks to the wholesome effect of plants, but therefore also because of our origin. The presence of plants at work have a calming effect on people. Think of it as “creating our natural habitat” within today’s society.
Just to dwell on and substantiate this theory: why can we dwell on the colors of a beautiful autumn leaf, the smell of newly cut grass or our streets full of blossoms and not have this with a broken glass or rusty nails?
